Last day - Mountains on maps unlocked
– Sat, Nov 03, 2018 at 09:53:28 AM
Thanks to folks sharing their ASOIAF Halloween costumes, we've unlocked mountain textures and sea monsters added to all maps. Exactly how the sea monsters will integrate into the map will be decided as a collaboration with the artist, Maggie Ivy.
If you'd like to help us unlock more stretch goals, you can post photos of:
ASOIAF costumes (present or past),
ASOIAF fan art that you have made or collected (please give artists proper attribution)
ASOIAF tattoos that you have
Use the hashtag #WesterosCoins on Twitter and Instagram so we can find them and add them to the stretch goal track. If you'd like to share on Facebook, you can comment your photos to this post.
Livestream going up in a few minutes. If you have any last minute questions, you can ask us directly.
Thanks!

Mention from TIME and unlocked coins

Happy Monday, backers!
We wanted to share a few exciting mentions of our campaign with you. On launch day, George R. R. Martin tweeted:
So. Cool. In honor of how cool this is, shares of this article will also count as shares of the campaign, which leads me to the next topic of unlocked coins.
Unlocked: Garth XII Gardener Copper Star
This Gardener coin has some history. Struck for the first time in thick copper, this has just been unlocked as a Kickstarter Exclusive coin. It will come in the map with Grand Maester+ pledges and will be available for purchase as a loose add-on for everyone else. We minted the standard version of this coin a few years ago. This is the coin that Olenna Tyrell carries with her that is half the weight of a Gold Dragon. The Garth VII Gardener coin featured in this release is actually much older than the one pictured here.
Unlocked: Martell Golden Sun Coin
Normally seen in copper, we will be striking this lovely Dornish coin in brass. It would have been made just after Aegon's Conquest but before Dorne joined the Seven Kingdoms through marriage. The house words "Unbowed Unbent Unbroken" refer to the fact that they were the only Kingdom that was not conquered during the Conquest. Since they were still independent, we are calling this a "Golden Sun" denomination. It seems appropriate for Dorne.
Unlocked: Double Thick Faceless Man Add-On
Not Kickstarter Exclusive, but still awesome. It's twice as thick as the standard Iron Coin of the Faceless Man. The original will remain the canonically accurate version, but we have been asked to make a thicker one for years. It is available for $20 as an add-on and will be included free of charge for the Lord of Westeros level, though I'm not sure that it will be embedded in the map. We'll see on that.
Up Next:
The next stretch goals include Aegon I Targaryen Copper Star, hand-painted color by Maggie Ivy for the printed map, and Wood color choices for the Grand Maester level.
There are still lots of Goal Tokens left for sharing things like your ASOIAF Costumes, ASOIAF Tattoos, and your Shelfie! Just tag #WesterosCoins for Twitter and Instagram. If you post anywhere else, just let us know in the comments.
Thanks for backing!

2 Stretch Goals unlocked!
Thanks to those who shared on Facebook and followed on Instagram, we've unlocked 2 more goals:
Aegon I Targaryen Copper Star
The first copper Star of the Targaryen Dynasty
This is the same design that will grace our Aegon I Targaryen Golden Dragon. We will strike it in copper as a Kickstarter Exclusive. These coins will be included free of charge for Grand Maester+ backers and will be available as add-ons for any backer.
Hand-colored coin maps
For backers of the Warden and Maester levels, your coin maps just got upgraded! Artist Maggie Ivy will hand paint the master image to bring the colors of Westeros to life in glorious detail. Maggie has studied traditional painting at institutions like The Florence Academy of Art. We are excited to see what this new coloring will look like. You can meet Maggie this week at Illuxcon

Up next: Free Garth XII Greenhand Coin
Our next stretch goal will unlock a free coin for all backers of the Steward level and above!
**SPOILERS** This coin is mentioned here in A Feast for Crows - Cersei II: Gold, yes, but the moment Cersei took it she could tell that it was wrong. Too small, she thought, too thin. The coin was old and worn. On one side was a king's face in profile, on the other side the imprint of a hand. "This is no dragon," she said.
"No," Qyburn agreed. "It dates from before the Conquest, Your Grace. The king is Garth the Twelfth, and the hand is the sigil of House Gardener."
