Current Progress on Resin Coin Maps
There's been a great deal of progress on the resin coin maps, and we're excited to show you pictures of our production!
Some additions to the Lord of Westeros coin maps:
.999 silver markers to mark city locations
removable backing light panel to
new tree and mountain designs
hand-painted trees and mountains
gold trim on redesigned border
coins will be set in rings instead of embedded in the resin, so you can choose which side is visible and remove the coins at any time.
Wood map cut-out with islands placed by hand. This is affixed to a piece of acrylic with clear resin. Some aspects of this design like the mountains and borders have already been changed.
Pouring the resin
Heat treating the resin. This helps pop resin bubbles to create a smooth surface.
Water texture achieved by swirling extra glow powder through the resin after pouring
Level of glow after 1 min of charge in cloudy sunlight
Future resin coin map tests:
painted highlights and shadows painted on each mountain
painted highlights on groups of trees
coin rings cut from wood vs acrylic
finalizing the modular backing to support the light panel vs no light panel
finalizing design and placement of edition number

First Tier of Acrylic Maps & Resin Production Photos

Acrylic Maps
The first tier of acrylic maps are finishing up and are ready for shipment! We had announced in the previous update that all acrylic maps were finished - we had all but the 5" x 7" completed. However, they're now ready for shipment!

Resin Map Production
We'll be exclusively working on the resin maps from here on, and we estimate they may take approximately four weeks to finish. Look forward to seeing progress on the resin maps as we get closer to finishing all of them!

All Acrylic Maps are Finished!

Attention for all Levels!
This is the last week that you may change your shipping address, so if you have to do that, do so as soon as possible! Backers at the Maester level will have an email about that. If you need to change, it message us here.
Acrylic Maps
We have finally finished the first three levels of maps, and are ready to start shipping the acrylic maps by the end of this week! By our next update, we should have all maps shipped and on their way!

Wooden Maps Completed and Being Shipped!

Wooden map assembly is taking place, and we are in the middle of shipping! Initially, we were going to send out the maps un-assembled, but we wanted to save some of the hassle of putting them together. As you can see in the photos below, the maps will be coming pre-assembled!

Acryllic map production is slightly behind, but we are now ready to start production and will be shipping out by the end of next week!

Wooden Maps Nearly Completed!

Wooden Map Progress!
The last wooden map finished cutting today, and now this is what's left:
1. Engraving of Map Backs
2. Cutting of Acrylic Mounting Sheets
3. Final packaging
We believe that shipping should begin late next week!

Acrylic Maps:
Production of acrylic maps will begin late next week while wooden maps begin to ship. After two weeks of production, we should be ready to ship!
Resin Maps:
We now have a rough timeline for resin map production to take place once acrylic maps are finished. This sets resin map production to begin within three weeks of this update.
